LLanelli Half Marathin & 10k 2024

Llanelli 10K and Half Marathon was held on February 25th and 7 Sarn Helen Runners took part. The route is ideal for achieving Personal Best Times as the race is ran over a flat terrain along the beautiful Millenium Coastal Path and if it is stunning scenery you are looking for, this is the race to compete in as it overlooks the Loughor Estuary and the Gower Peninsula.

The weather on the day was overcast with slight wind in parts but otherwise made for ideal running conditions.

PB’s were achieved on the day in the 10K by Elliot Howells in a time of 49 min 18 secs and Claire Williams in 1hr 3min 57 secs. Jo Rosiak also ran a great race in 56mins 22secs.

4 runners took to the start line in the Half Marathon, Ian Williams came away with a PB in a fantastic time of 1hr 47mins 47 secs as did Stephen Kenworthy in 1hr 44mins 31 secs. Lou Summers who is back on form following months of struggling with injury ran a fantastic race which saw her come first in the F55 category in 1hr 38mins 25 secs. Sarah Puetz using this race as part of her Newport Marathon training crossed the line in an equally great time of 2hrs 8mins 17 secs.
