Ras Adclad is now an annual race on the running calendar, ran in memory of Arwel ( Adclad Buildings). This year the hilly, mixed terrain race covering 7.5 miles started in Llanwrda and finished in Caio. 8 Sarn Helen runners supported this local race with great results and times. 4th overall Dan Hooper 53.26, Glyn Price 58.05, David Casso-Davies 69.07, John McDonagh 78.37, Delyth Crimes 78.40, Arwyn Jones 82.23, Elen Casso-Davies 120.56, Corrina Robinson 121.04.
Battersea Park 5 and 10K was the destination for 2 of Sarn Helen’s newest members. Bon Adrian Damalerio ran the 5K in a great time of 22:09 whilst Nathan De Pablo ran the 10K event in an equally good time of 53:48.
Race 2 of The Poppit Sands Summers Series saw Sophia Barker claim her second win of the series as 1st Female, Ella Phillips had a great race to finish as 1st Junior Female with Osian Jones and Liz Pugh also having good runs.
Race 2 of the AbeRAStwyth 5K series saw fantastic times being posted by Sarn Helen Runners. 2nd Overall and 1st M35 was Dylan Lewis in a superb time of 16:45, Rhodri Williams with a new PB in 17:15, Wyn Thomas 2nd M35 in a new PB time of 17:32, Dylan Harcombe 18:15, Nicola Williams 2nd OF in 20:43, Nathan Topham 23:20, Shelley Enders 1st F55 in 25:26 and Martin Darby 25:45
The 3rd and final race of the 2025 Poppit Sands Series took place on a very hot evening with 118 runners conpeting. 11 Sarn Helen members took the start line with some great times considering the heat and soft sand.Mike Davies 21:17 3rd M50, Kevin Jones 21:43, Sophia Barker 22:03 1st female and overall series winner with 3 wins. Osian Jones who also ran all 3 races 22:50, Lou Summers 1st F55 22:56, Ben Hall 22:58, Alix Arndt 2nd F45 23:44, Ian Williams 23:48, Ella Phillips 1st YF and overall series winner 28:17, Sarah Puetz 29:56 and Elen Casso-Davies 33:53.Michelle Billing was the sole representative for Sarn Helen at the 40th edition of Race The Train in Tywyn. Competitors run againt a Steam Train over a distance of 14 miles, a multi terrain course which attracts runners from all over the world. Michelle had a great run to finish in 3hrs 14 mins.St Clears 10K is a hilly, challenging race. 4 Sarn Helen runners braved the extreme heat posting good times given the weather condition, Kevin Jones 43:04, Stephen Kenworthy 47:31, Simon Reed 50:54 and Sarah Puetz 1:02:16.Dylan Davies was back on the track competing at The Inter Regional Championships in York. Running in his 1st 400M event Dylan was pleased with his time of 58:39 secs, Dylan also ran in the 800M event in 2:14:06 and was 6th overall in both races, a great achievement.Sarn Helen runners have also been competing in other local races, brothers Glyn and Huw Price were at the Llys Y Fran Dam Good Race.Geth ap Phyllip, Glyn Price, Stephen and Jane Holmes took part in Ras Y Dewin, a local fun fell race at Cwrt Y Cadno Show.
Ras Y Fforest is ran alongside Cilycwm Show, 3 Sarn Helen stalwarts took to the start line, Dan Hooper finished in 1st place in 32:49 with Glyn Price in 2nd place with a time of 33:59, Dan and Glyn appear to be in quite a battle recently finishing closely in many races. Huw Price 48:27.
The final race of the Aberastwyth 5K series took place on Wednesday 27th August with 14 Sarn Helen members competing. The series overall has delivered fast times and the final race was no exception. Rhodri Williams achieving his 1st sub 17 minute 5K in 16:56 was 3rd OM, Dylan Lewis 2nd M35 in 17:03, Simon Hall 3rd M45 18:01, Polly Summers 1st female and 1st OF 18:47, Sophia Barker 2nd OF and 3rd female overall with a PB time of 20:30, Lou Summers 1st F55 20:31, Nicola Williams 3rd OF 20:36, Dee Jolly 2nd F35 20:37, Junior runner Ben Hall had a superb PB in 20:55, Sian Roberts-Jones 2nd F45 22:23, Junior runner Ellie Tansley 24:47, Shelley Enders 2nd F55 25:04, Martin Darby 25:26 and Junior runner Esther Jones in 26:44.Sarn Helen also has a strong Cycling Club and a few of the cyclists competed in the Kilgetty Bike It 100, a long distance cycling event comprising of a challenging route covering various distances, a charitable fundraising race in aid of The Paul Sartori Hospice At Home. Michael Lear and Sarah Puetz enjoyed the challenge.
