Sarn Helen Club members have racked up the mileage this month, taking part in three events across Wales.
On 5th May 2019, 4 members of the Sarn Helen Cycling Club competed in the Preseli Angel cycling event in Newport, Pembrokeshire. Eric Rees, Dorian Rees and Owen McConochie took part in the 78 mile event, with Eric's 12 year old son, Llŷr completing the 40 mile course in 3hrs 22 mins.
On 11th May 2019, 5 members of the Club took part in 10 mile cycling time trials in Neath - Eric Rees completed in a time of 00:24:44, Dorian Rees in 00:24:46, Carwyn Davies in 00:24:49 and Owen McConochie in 00:25:45. Llŷr Rees won his age class in 00:30.09.
Finally, on 18 May 2019, Eric, Dorian, Owen and Llŷr completed the challenging 107 mile Tour of Pembroke event, a challenge for everyone, especially for Llŷr, who recorded a fantastic time of 08:35:00.
