Emma Palfrey recently competed in a Sprint Triathlon at Cardiff, this was a qualifying event for the World Triathlon Championships in Australia next year. Emma had a superb race and won her age category and came 5th overall, this amazing achievement means that Emma has now qualified to represent Great Britain at the World Championships in Wollongong next year.
Sarn Helen at the Seaside taking on different challenges at the Long Course Weekend, Tenby
The highlight for Sarn Helen Running Club every year is the Welsh Castles Relay hosted and superbly organised by Les Croupiers Running Club in Cardiff.
The 5th Sarn Helen Championship Race, Felinfach 6 was recently held, the weather was kind and made for perfect running conditions with 89 runners competing.
The stunning trails and tracks of the world renowned Coed Y Brenin forest in the Snowdonia National Park is what attracted two Sarn Helen runners as they took on the tough challenge of the Half Marathon.
The iconic Sarn Helen Hill Race took place on Sunday May 19th, it is probably one of the oldest races on the race calendar dating back to 1979. Aptly named after the old Roman Road, the route showcases rhe local stunning landscape highlighted by the Cambrian Hills. Whilst the weather conditions may have been perfect for spectators it definitely added another challenge to the already gruelling 16 miles that lay ahead for the 41 brave runners that took to the start line.
